JOB TITLE: AIR TIGHTNESS TESTING TECHNICIAN
Details
We are seeking self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our progressive company offering air tightness compliance testing to the building/construction industry. Personnel will be required to use specialist air testing equipment, ancillary equipment and reporting software.
About Us
AiroTech was formed to offer Air Testing, Infrared Thermography and Passive House Design as its core services. Our company are passionate about promoting energy efficiency in new and existing dwellings to assist lowering CO2 emissions and energy consumption. We are an independent company based centrally in Perth, offering coverage to the whole of Scotland. AiroTech are audited members of the IATS (Independent Air Testers Scheme).
Job Activities
- Adopt exemplary behaviour with regards to HSE and implement clients onsite risk management systems whilst on site.
- Carry out Air tightness testing in accordance with AiroTech’s method statement and implement company’s onsite risk assessment checklists
- Be familiar with local, national and European air testing building regulation Scottish building regulations part 6, ISO 9972 (2015) EN 13829 and best practice document ATTMA TSL-1
- Carry out daily checks on equipment and vehicle maintenance
- Be able to work unsupervised or within a team – be flexible in their approach to work
- Ability to work without supervision, self-motivated and work to deadlines
- Liaise with clients and provide technical advice
Required Competencies
- Excellent computer skills and familiar with Microsoft office packages including excel and word
- The ability to read architect plans and drawings to calculate building volumes, envelope and floor areas
- Competent using Sketchup DWG package
- Open minded and flexible to learn new building compliance services and disciplines
- Full clean UK driving license
- Combined hands on and report writing skills
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Candidates should have experience in the building/construction industry and relevant Citing Guild qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in relevant engineering or building sciences discipline
- Languages: Excellent spoken and written English are mandatory
