A date was arranged for the Infrared Thermography survey and once again due to my work commitments and the unpredictable weather where I live, David managed to accommodate both issues. I contacted AiroTech and they explained exactly what they could do in terms of identifying air leakage and other anomalies. HSE was their main priority when they arrived to carryout Thermography with PPE in abundance and social distancing observed. The equipment used was a thermal camera for images and a fan to depressurise the house. The thermal images and the extremely detailed report were a real eye opener for me. It was quite an eye opener seeing where we had air leaks in the house and insulation problems within the walls and ceiling. Airotech provided a very detailed report and we are now making remedies to improve the heat loss of our property. Overall I think it was good value for money – I got a few quotes from local thermal imaging companies and Airotech was the cheapest, but I don’t feel it was compromised in any way, it was a very professional survey, including the use of a door fan to control the pressure in the house to find leaks.

David carried out internal and external technical surveys on our house because we knew the cavity wall insulation appeared to be ineffective and we had numerous air leaks. Everything required was made very clear beforehand and David arrived on time and worked methodically through the technical testing. It was fascinating to watch and see the camera images identifying problem areas. A few days later we received his very comprehensive analysis in a lengthy report with recommendations. This gave us clear directions over the areas to work on to save energy and have a more comfortable home. It is well worth having both the tests done for internal and external imaging.
